The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and its Marathon Strides Against MS (MSAMS) team will once again field a team for the Boston Marathon on . As a charity partner of the Boston Athletic Association, we are grateful for the continued support from the BAA and the Boston Marathon community.
The 2016 MSAMS team raised an incredible $395,000. These necessary funds support MS research and programs and services for those living with MS. As a member of the MSAMS, your fundraising efforts make a huge difference to the individuals and families living with MS in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
All Marathon Strides Against MS team members enjoy the following benefits:
You can apply to join our team by using the "Register as an Individual" button above. Applicants will be notified by email and telephone if accepted onto the MSAMS team. For 2017, we have fewer bibs available than in previous years and submitting an application does not ensure that you will be accepted onto the team. There is a non-refundable $25 application fee; should you be accepted onto the team, this amount will be applied toward your $100 registration fee. For 2017, the Boston Athletic Association has set the minimum fundraising required at $5,000.
Note: Online applications are now closed for invitational runners (but still open for qualified runners). If you have questions, please contact at ,
Are you a qualified runner? If you already have a bib number from the Boston Athletic Association and want to be part of Marathon Strides Against MS team, as a qualified runner, you may enjoy all of the benefits of the team and make a difference in the lives of those living with MS by raising a minimum of $1,000. You use the same application link as above, just chose “Qualified Runner” when you apply.
